Great troubleshooting. I just checked the server roster files and there is a
roster for LAMC FSM 050 KS SP07. So, it looks like you gave us the incorrect
course title when requesting the site installations.
I am not sure of the quickest solution to this, but we'll figure it out. NO
WORRIES.
I would hate for us to install a new site with the correct site id and have
Kurt do all the work to port content over. I may be able to convert the
current site. It will require running a series of scripts to adjust the site
id in the database tables. Depending on what he has published, it may or
may not be safe. I need to examine the implications here. Will get back to
you as soon as I assess the situation.
In looking at your file, I want to alert you to one more problematic roster
that I am CERTAIN is not being downloaded into any classes. A roster for
LAMC CHE 051 S SP07 is included in the file, but there is no such site. And,
there could never be an "S" for an instructor's initials. You might want to
look into that.
Finally, we don't have LACCD or other abbreviations. These are local MIS
issues. It would be nice if all 109 Community colleges used the same
abbreviations, but they don't. Kanthi can probably give you a list.
BUT, you should _NEVER_ come up with the course ids in your sites files. It
is way too easy to make mistakes. Let the technology do that for you. ALWAYS
give your list of sections to Kanthi in advance for her to create your term
site files. She will return this to you in a proper text file and all you
need to add is userid's and email addresses, prior to submitting your file
to us for installing the sites for faculty.
I hope this helps for future terms. Let me know if anything is not clear.
Best,
Vivie
